Ever since I was little, I’ve been playing sports. In high school, I played on the varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams, and continued lacrosse collegiately. There’s nothing better than the excitement of gameday—whether you’re the player or the spectator. I, along with my project team, enjoyed curating this selective list of sports bars so that you, your friends, and family can embrace (and nourish!) the spirit of competition, no matter where you are.
Gloria Petreska

My name is Gloria Petreska. I am from Garfield, New Jersey, and I am a Junior accounting student at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. A fun fact about me is that I am raised in a country in Europe, named Macedonia in a city named Ohrid, and I speak five languages: Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian, German, and English, and I am very passionate about sports! In my elementary school and high school, I played volleyball, and I loved it a lot! It was my pleasure to help with this project because sports have always been my passion and it was great to combine both of my passions: passion for sports and passion for helping other people to create something as amazing as this and to work with the other wonderful interns on this team!

I am a catcher on the Harvard softball team. That being said, working on this project was really personal because I understand the struggle to find somewhere to enjoy dinner and watch a sporting event with family members. Going across the country for college and being somewhere new, it can be difficult to find a reliable place to visit when on a new college campus. Hopefully the work we all put in for this project will allow it to be easier for everyone to find a good sports bar!
Kiley Dugan

Hi guys! My name is Kiley Dugan and I’m a senior English major with a dual minor in digital media and journalism at Valparaiso University. I’m on the soccer team here at Valpo, but I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Not only do I play a sport in college, I am extremely passionate about watching sports, and there is nothing better than sitting at a good sports bar with some friends and food and catching a game.

In elementary school, my Dad coached my intramural basketball team. After every Sunday night game, we’d go to an infamous pub in my hometown. There were tables filled with family, friends, and teammates with eyes glued to the screen. The memories of those Sunday nights fostered my love for sports and ultimately led me to be a collegiate athlete. My work with OH! That Bar! College! has allowed me to help families find the perfect place to create memories just as special as my own!
